Recently, Barco, a leader in professional display technology, announced a significant expansion of its flagship QDX series with the launch of the QDX-N4K series, centered on native 4K resolution. This series integrates full color space coverage, optional dual laser light sources, and AVoIP intelligent transmission capabilities, offering professional projection solutions for industries such as broadcasting, healthcare, and exhibition display.

The Barco QDX-N4K series upgrades its core imaging components to three 0.98-inch DMD™ chips, achieving a native 4K physical resolution of 4096×2176 and delivering "pixel-level sharp" detailed imagery. Meanwhile, the series boasts an ultra-high brightness of up to 40,000 ISO lumens, fully meeting the demanding brightness requirements of large-scale application scenarios. Additionally, the product supports 8K resolution signal input, enabling seamless compatibility with future content sources without the need for equipment replacement, effectively protecting users' investments.
To meet the strict color requirements of various industries, the QDX-N4K series achieves full compatibility with any color space, including Rec.709, DCI-P3, and BT.2020, solving the problem of inconsistent colors across multiple devices and scenarios. In terms of light sources, the product offers two options: dual-color laser and RGB triple-color laser. The dual-color laser light source is suitable for cost-sensitive scenarios, while the RGB triple-color laser light source caters to high-end cinemas, medical image diagnosis, and other fields requiring extreme color accuracy and contrast.
The Barco QDX-N4K series pioneers the adoption of AVoIP technology, enabling the transmission of ultra-high-definition audio and video signals via a single network cable. This significantly reduces wiring costs and maintenance difficulties while enhancing system flexibility and scalability. Whether in large-scale venues such as convention centers and stadiums or for future expansion needs, this technology provides reliable support.
The QDX-N4K series is fully compatible with Barco's TLD+ series lenses. Existing users can upgrade by simply replacing the main unit without purchasing new lenses, reducing upgrade costs. New users can also flexibly match lenses according to their needs, achieving "low-cost upgrades with high-value returns."

The QDX-N4K series features innovative DuraOptix™ technology, which optimizes optical path design and uses new optical glass developed specifically for high-brightness laser projection. This ensures long-term maintenance of peak performance, delivering stable and consistent light and pixels. Its modular design facilitates easy maintenance, and the advanced air filtration system guarantees reliable operation even in harsh environments. Furthermore, Barco's cloud-based Insights management suite enables real-time performance monitoring, proactive maintenance, and efficient operation management, extending the product's service life.
